Why should I keep naps
under 30 minutes?

Many Zalza users question why the app only allows naps of up to 30 minutes when they can sleep for over an hour 

Considering the normal sleep cycle (60-120 minutes), deep sleep occurs mostly in the early part of the sleep time, and the amount of REM sleep increases towards the end.

If you nap for more than 30 minutes, you’re likely to fall into a deep sleep, which can make you feel more tired upon waking or disrupt your biological rhythm.

That’s why Zalza recommends short naps of 15 or 30 minutes.

✓ When is the best time to take a nap?

It’s recommended to nap between 1 PM and 4 PM. Napping during this time helps ensure you can still get a good night’s sleep. Use Zalza’s sleep-inducing music to recharge your energy throughout the day!
